This tutorial will go over how to set up and use the C-F4A Facial Access Controller using the local display.

===Step by Step Instructions===
1. Today we will be going over the initialization of the device using the Local UI as well as the initial basic set up to get the device up and running. This guide also assumes you have already connected the pigtails to the back of the C-F4A. You can boot the device up using either the provided power adapter, or you can use POE to power it up. Once you provide power the device should start up automatically.

2. Once the unit boots up for the first time it will start to take you through the initialization. The first page you will see is the language option. Tap on the screen to choose the language you want and then click the check mark in the top right to continue.

3. The next screen will be where you set up your password for the device as well as add an email for the password reset function. Tap into each field and enter the information. Once completed click the check box in the top right to move to the next page which will conclude the initialization of the device.

4. You will now be brought to the main home screen of the device. Since we have not set anything up yet, the first step will be to click on the “gear” icon in the bottom right so we can get into the settings.

5. After clicking on the gear we will be brought into the screen to authenticate so we can log in and get into the settings. The first 3 options along the top would be used after you have created users. Since we do not have any users yet, we will click on the 4th option which is the administrator login. The password you will use to log in here will be the same password you set up during the initialization of the device.

6. Now that we are in the settings there are quite a few options, but for this document we will go over creating the users and adding authentication methods. To start that click on the “User Management” option.

7. After clicking the user management option, you will be brought to the user management page which would normally list all of your users, since this is the first time setup we will click the (+) in the top right to add a user.

8. You will now be brought to the “Add User” Page. First I will go through what each option is.

* 8.1. User Permission – This allows you to define the user as a regular user or an admin user. Users only have unlock functionality and then an admin user has the power to change settings.
* 8.2. User ID – This is just a number associated to each user to easily define between each user. Each user would need a unique ID.
* 8.3. Name – Users Name
* 8.4. Face – This is where you would add the users face image for facial recognition.
* 8.5. Card – This is where you would add card information for unlocking via card.
* 8.6. Password – This is where you would enter a password for the user to use to unlock the door.
* 8.7. Weekly Schedule – This is where you would have different schedules to apply to a user for when they can unlock the door. By default there is only 1 schedule which is a 24/7 schedule.
* 8.8. Holiday Schedule – This is where you would set up schedules for holidays.
* 8.9. Validity Period – This is where you would define how long that user is valid for.
* 8.10. User Type – Is where you would choose what type of user this user would be.
