			In this guide we will learn how to export video clips from LumiCenter.

			1. To start this process you will want to navigate to the layouts page, choose the camera/layout that you would like to export the video clip from and then choose playback.

			2. You should now have the timeline on the right side of the layouts section. You can use multiple methods to highlight the section you want, but essentially the next step is to highlight the footage that you want to export, then you will click the arrow in the circle to choose how to export the footage.

In the window that pops up for the export, you can see the time frame of the clip you are about to export, you can choose the folder that it will export to and then you can also choose what file format it will export to. For video, the main options are MKV, MP4, AVI and EXE. You will also notice there is an “Add player” checkbox beside the file types. If you will be providing this footage to law enforcement as an example, this can be helpful so they have a player that will be able to play the footage. For the sake of this step, we will use the mkv option. Once you have chosen your options, go ahead and click export. LumiCenter will then begin the process of exporting as well as doing any necessary transcoding.

			4. If you opt to export the player along with the video, you will find the player.exe file inside the export folder as displayed in the image.

			5. If you opt to export to EXE, LumiCenter will integrate the video and the player into a single file. Double clicking that file will open the player and that clip that is contained within the single file. This could help make it very easy for those who aren’t as technical when trying to review footage.

			6. During the export process, you can also opt to add a password to the exported file. If you do this, when you try and run the file, it will bring up a prompt to input the password before it will play the footage back.

			7. Another option you have when exporting clips would be to include the track data. If you opt to enable this during the export, it will export whatever tracking data is enabled. In this example, it would be the object tracker. So when viewing the exported footage, it would include the object tracker overlay. This step concludes how to export a single video channel.

			8. The last option available during the export process is whether you want to view or hide the privacy mask. This is pretty straightforward, if you have a privacy mask on that camera and opt to show the privacy mask during the export, then the saved video will contain the privacy mask in the downloaded footage. If you chose to hide it, then the video would not have the privacy mask.

			9. Now we will learn how to pull multiple video streams at a time. To do this, you will want to use a layout where you have multiple cameras in the layout. In this case we will use a 4 channel layout. Once you are in your 4 channel layout, you will select the playback option along the top of the window. You will now notice that on the right side in the timeline, it is showing all 4 streams. Next you will select the time that you want to export just like we did for the single camera. Now when we click export you will see a new option called “Export as a single file”. If you choose this option, LumiCenter will integrate the recordings of all 4 channels into a single file.

			10. After exporting the file as an executable, when you run the file you will see it has integrated all the videos into a single clip within the player.

			11. You also have the option to export as a single file when choosing mkv, mp4 or avi. The behavior is a little different. You will notice when you open the exported video file, you only see 1 camera playing. In this case you case you can go up to video along the top, then change between the video tracks to look at the different camera views.

			12. Last but not least, you can also choose to hide or show the privacy mask when exporting the clips just like we did for the single video file. This concludes how to export video files from LumiCenter.
