			===Description===
			This tutorial demonstrates how to reset passwords using LumiUtility. Please note that the XML method requires coordination with Luminys Technical Support. Once you generate the ExportFile.xml and provide it to a support agent; they will process the file and return a DeviceSafeCode.xml to finalize the reset.

			While this guide focuses on the XML reset method, LumiUtility also supports password recovery via QR code (requires a configured recovery email). Detailed instructions for the QR process [[IPC/IP_Camera_Password_Reset\|can be found here]].

			===Prerequisites===
			* LumiUtility application installed on the computer
			* Access to the cameras via network connection (can be over LAN or wired to NVR camera port)

			===Step by Step Instructions===

			1. Start by opening LumiUtility and ensure it sees your cameras. The PC and cameras must be in the same IP segment. Once showing, select the Password Reset tab at the top and you will see a few options:

			Clicking the reset button (lock with circling arrows) to the right of a camera will allow you to reset a single device via email recovery (if set), or .xml file.

			You can also check multiple devices and select Batch Reset to use the .xml reset method for multiple devices at once.

			2. If you are resetting a single device and have clicked the reset button, you will be prompted to agree to the terms required for the reset. After agreeing, you will either be shown a QR code, or receive an error that no recovery email was set:

Otherwise, change the dropdown at the top left to XML to start the XML reset process. If you received an error that a recovery email was not set, once you click OK you will automatically be redirected to the XML reset.

			3. If you chose to use the Batch Reset option, or if you were redirected, a message will display indicating that the file must be sent to us using an enterprise email. This is why the assistance of a Luminys Support Agent is necessary.

			4. Once the prompt is confirmed, the XML process begins. Start by clicking the Browse button to specify where the export.xml file will be saved.

			7. You will receive a confirmation indicating if the export was successful or not. If the total number of devices does not match the number of successful devices, the reset will fail. The most common cause for this is cameras being in a different subnet or IP range.

			12. If successful, you will be prompted to set the new password for your device, and to confirm it. Once entered, click Completed.
