Video Instructions
Step by Step Instructions
To access these options you will click the 3 dots in the top right of the LumiCenter WebClient and then click on preferences.
1. Disconnect stream when inactive – What this option does is if you open a new tab in your browser, or you minimize your browser, LumiCenter WebClient will disconnect from the video streams if this option is toggled on.
2. Show all frames – By default LumiCenter will show you all of the frames coming from the camera, however if you disable this option, LumiCenter will only display the iFrames from the camera which will help relieve some of the workload on the workstation.
3. Scroll selected search result to center – When doing a search in LumiCenter you will get a big list of results, when searching through the results there may be times where the event you click is partially off screen. What this option will do is auto center that event in the WebClient to make it easier to view. Essentially like in the picture if you select an image that is partially off the screen, with this setting on, it will shift it down towards the middle of the page.
4. Default Interval – This setting impacts the thumbnail search function. Depending on the time you set here, when you do a thumbnail search this interval will already be preset in the search. The interval determines the time between each video slice in the search results.
5. Manually open and close – When opening a camera from the camera list on the left the typical behavior is that the camera list will remain open after adding the camera into your views, however if you turn this setting off, after adding a camera to the live view the list will close automatically.
6. Open selected camera on layout – By default this setting is disabled, the behavior while this is disabled is that when you click on a camera to add it to the layout it will add into the current layout. If you enable this option, when you go to your camera list and add a camera, it will bring you to a layout that already has this camera added into.
7. Show only live cameras – When this setting is enabled, you will only see cameras that are currently online and live. If you disable this option, you will see cameras that have not been enabled which I will show in a picture below.
8. Show device IDs – This setting is on by default and when it is enabled the format of the names in the camera list will be Device ID . Camera Name. When you disable this, it will only show the camera name which you will see in the picture below.
9. Use server timezone – By default the time displayed in LumiCenter is the same timezone as the LumiCenter Server. If you would prefer to see the timezone of the LumiCenter workstation, you can disable this option.
10. Use 12 hour time format – This one is pretty straightforward, this will allow you to change the clock display between 24 hour and 12 hour.
11. Show marker names – This setting impacts the map function. When this setting is enabled you will see the names of the camera on the map, but if you disable this option, it will only display the camera icons on the map as shown in the image below.
12. Keep aspect ratio – This option is pretty straightforward, when the option is enabled the camera view will use the aspect ratio that the camera is outputting, if you disable this option it will stretch the image to fit the layout view.
13. Timeline position – By default the timeline when in playback is displayed on the right side and is vertically oriented, however if you wish you can change it to horizontal positioning, and it will appear at the bottom as you can see in the pictures below.
