Registering a Card to a User With a Controller via LumiViewer

Description

This tutorial will go over how to register a card to a user using an access controller, via LumiViewer.

Prerequisites

• LumiViewer
• Luminys Access Controller

Step by Step Instructions

1. Start by selecting Person and Permission from the LumiViewer Home page.

2. Click the edit button of an existing user, or click Add if you are creating a new user.

3. If you are adding a new user, fill out the User ID, Name, and any other parameters you wish to set. Once done, or if you are simply editing, click the small gear icon to the right of the Card field to set which reader you will use to register the card.

4. Ensure the Card Reader dropdown is set to Device, and then select which reader you want to use to register the card. Click OK when you are done.

5. Now click the Add button beside the Card field to begin the registration process. Once the Issue Card window is open, any cards scanned on the defined reader will populate their card number in the Card No. field. Once your card has been scanned, click OK.

6. You will now see the newly registered card for the user. Click Finish when you are done to save and complete the process.
