Link Access Control Events to Video Channels via LumiViewer
Description
This tutorial will cover how to set up LumiViewer to open a video channel(s) during a defined Access Controller event. This is primarily used to open a camera feed that displays the door the event was triggered from.
Prerequisites
- Luminys Access Controller (Must have completed basic setup.)
- LumiViewer
Step by Step Instructions
1. From the Home page of LumiViewer, select the Event Config option to the right.
2. This is where we will set up the event trigger as follows:
A. Start by selecting which device you want to trigger the event from the list of devices.
B. Select the event type you want to listen for. For the purpose of this guide we are using a Normal Card Unlock event, meaning any time the door is unlocked with a card, the actions will trigger. This can be any any type of event you see in the list and does not need to be an unlock event.
C. Enable the Card Unlock (or whichever event type you've chosen) events by switching on the toggle.
D. Select the Link Video tab.
E. Select the layout you want to use for the linked video(s).
F. Select which video channels you wish to display when the event is triggered. Note that you can select multiple video channels and display them in whichever layout you wish.
G. There are some options you can set for the video channel itself, such as a preset point (for PTZ only), the Stream Type (Main or Sub), wether the video autoamtically starts or not when the event occurs (usually you wnat this enabled), the duration of the event video, and if you want this video to be recorded by LumiViewer.
H. Once you have defined your settings, click Save.
Note: While you can copy the settings to other devices (the event trigger device) this will also copy the video channel settings it uses, so be careful to ensure you have the right video channels selected depending on which device is triggering the event.
3. Once you have saved, youw ill now receive event alerts in LumiViewer when the event is triggered.
