Using a USB Card Issuer via Access Controller WebUI
Description
This guide will walk you through registering cards to users in a Luminys Access Controller webUI using the Luminys USB Card Issuer.
Prerequisites
- LumiViewer
- USB Card Issuer connected to PC
- Luminys Access Controller (Such as C-2PA)
- WebUI Access via PC to the controller
This guide assumes you have already initialized your device. For stand alone/WebUI configuration, you must use the Main controller.
Step by Step Instructions
1. Start by logging in to your controller via your preferred web browser, and selecting the User Management tab on the left.
2. From here, click the Add button to create a new user.
If you already have a user created, click the Edit button to edit the user information to add a card.
3 Enter a numerical User ID, and add a User Name. Change other settings on this tab as needed, and once finished select the Authentication tab at the top.
4. Expand the Card section, and select the Add button to begin the card registration.
5. At this point you may be prompted to install a plugin. You must install the plugin for this function to work. Click the download link at the bottom of the page to download the WebViewer plugin.
6. If your browser prompts you about file security, make sure you chose the option to Keep the file.
7. Once the file is downloaded, open it. Windows will warn you about security. Click on More Info and then Run Anyway to install the plugin.
8. Once the plugin is installed make sure the Card Reader selection has Enrollment Reader selected and you should see a countdown to indicated the software is awaiting your card scan. At this point, scan the card on the reader and it will populate the card number.
Note: If you do not see a countdown or the card number does not populate, you may need to refresh your WebUI for the plugin to work.
9. Once the card number is populated, click on Add to finish adding the card to the user, and click Add again to finish creating your user. This concludes the steps to register a card to a user using the Luminys USB Card Issuer via Luminys Access Controller WebUI.
