How to Stop LumiViewer From Saving Event Images

Description

This tutorial will go over how to stop LumiViewer from capturing event images. This process is primarily used for computers that run persistent live view feeds, or when LumiViewer has been installed on drive with minimal storage space.

Prerequisites

  • LumiViewer application installed on the computer
  • NVR / Camera added to LumiViewer with AI events

Step by Step Instructions

1. Starting from the LumiViewer Home tab, select Event Config on the right.

2. From the Event Config screen, select a video channel you want to stop saving event images. Select the relevant AI Event type from the list, and the select the Defense Time tab. Erase the scheduled time for any day, and then click the gear to the right of that day.

3. Check the Check All box to copy that schedule to all other days, and click OK.

4. You will now see the schedule has been zero'd out for all days. Click the Copy to button in the bottom right.

5. From here, select all channels for which you wish to disable event image storage, and click OK. Note that these settings are saved automatically and you do not need to click the Save button.

Important Note: You must repeat this process for all event types that are running on the system. In most cases, you will only need to disable the schedule for iMD (Human) and iMD (Vehicle) as these are enabled camera-side by default on most Luminys cameras. If you have set up any of the following event types on the camera or recorder, you will want to repeat this process from step 2 onward each of events. You do not need to repeat the steps for every individual channel, as that is handled by copying the schedule in Step 3:

  • Line Crossing
  • Intrusion
  • iMD (Human)
  • iMD (Vehicle)
  • Face Detection
  • Target Recognition
  • Stranger
  • Human Detection
  • Vehicle Trait
