LumiLuxLite Kit Camera Firmware Upgrade (Via Camera's Web Interface)
Description
This article will cover how to upgrade firmware on the N3T-5KA2 cameras included in the LumiLuxLite Kit, via the camera's interface
Prerequisites
- LumiLuxLite Kit: Luminys NVR, N3T-5KA2 Cameras
- The Luminys IP Cameras Connected to the PoE Switch on the Back of the NVR
- A Computer on the Same Network as the NVR
- The Latest Firmware for the LumiLuxLite IP Cameras (Download Here)
PLEASE NOTE: If the R3 Model Kit NVR is on Firmware Build Date 6-4-2025 or older, and the LumiLuxLite Kit Cameras are on Firmware Version 6.2.138.410000 or older, make sure to upgrade the firmware of the cameras before you upgrade the firmware of the recorder, via the instructions below.
Step by Step Instructions
1. Log into the web inteface of the NVR.
Click on Camera at the top.
Click on PoE on the left.
Click on the Bridge option for Mode (This is a requirement to use bridge mode to process the update)
2. Click on OK
3. Click on Apply at the bottom
4. Click on OK
5. You will be logged out of the NVR and it will say Operation succeeded and Restarting.
The NVR will reboot
6. Once the NVR is done rebooting, log back into the web interface.
Click on Camera at the top.
Click on Camera Registration on the left.
Click on Protocol in the bottom Device Search section to re-order the list by the protocol of each camera
7. Scroll through the Device Search section on the bottom, until you find your cameras listed with the LumiKit protocol.
Note the IP addresses of each camera
8. Input one of the IP addresses of one of the cameras in your web browser to load the web interface of that camera.
Enter "admin" in the Username field.
Enter "fghj1234" in the Password field.
Click on Login
9. Click on Setting at the top.
Expand System on the left.
Click on System Upgrade.
Click on the Import button
10. Search your file system, then locate and select the LumiLuxLite IP Camera Firmware.
You will see the name of the firmware file next to Import Upgrade File on the camera's web interface.
Click on Upgrade
11. While the camera's firmware is upgraded it will display the following message.
When it is done upgrading, the camera will reboot, and you will be logged out of the web interface
12. After the camera reboots, log back into the web interface.
Click on Setting at the top.
Expand Information on the left.
Click on Version Information.
Verify the System Version matches the new firmware version you just upgraded to
13. Repeat Steps 8 through 12 for each camera.
14. Log back into the web interface of the NVR.
Click on Camera at the top.
Click on PoE on the left.
Click on the Route option for Mode
15. Click on Apply at the bottom
16. Click on OK
17. You will be logged out of the NVR and it will say Operation succeeded and Restarting.
The NVR will reboot
18. Log back into the web interface of the NVR.
Click on Camera at the top.
Click on Camera Registration on the left.
Verify that all of your cameras have re-connected to the NVR and show Green Circles under the Connection Status column
