LumiLuxLite Kit Camera Firmware Upgrade (Via NVR's Web Interface)

Description

This article will cover how to upgrade firmware on the N3T-5KA2 cameras included in the LumiLuxLite Kit, via the NVR's web interface

Prerequisites

  • LumiLuxLite Kit: Luminys NVR, N3T-5KA2 Cameras
  • The Luminys IP Cameras Connected to the PoE Switch on the Back of the NVR
  • A Computer on the Same Network as the NVR
  • The Latest Firmware for the LumiLuxLite IP Cameras:

PLEASE NOTE: If you are following these instructions to upgrade the camera via the NVR's web interface, make sure the camera firmware file you are using ends with ".bin". If it ends with ".update", change it to ".bin".

Step by Step Instructions

1. Log into the web inteface of the NVR.
Click on Storage at the top.
Click on Recording Mode on the left.
Check the boxes for Disable under Main Stream, Sub Stream1, and Sub Stream2.
Click on Apply at the bottom

2. Click on Camera at the top.
Click on Camera Registration on the left.
Click on the Camera Upgrade tab near the top

3. Click on Browse next to the File Path field

4. Search your file system, then locate and select the LumiLuxLite IP Camera Firmware. Make sure the file name ends with ".bin".
You will see the name of the firmware file next to File Path.
Check the box next to one or multiple N3T-5KA2 cameras in the list.
Click on Local Upgrade at the bottom

5. As each camera upgrades you will see the Status change from "Not Upgraded" to "Downloading".
Then the Status will change to a percentage that slowly increases

6. Once each camera is done upgrading the Status will change to "Updated"

7. After each camera has successfully upgraded to the latest firmware, they will reboot.
Once the cameras are all done rebooting, click on Refresh at the bottom.
Verify for each camera that was upgraded, that it shows the correct latest version under Firmware Version

8. Click on Storage at the top.
Click on Recording Mode on the left.
Check the boxes for Record under Main Stream.
Optionally check the boxes for Record under Sub Stream1 and Sub Stream2.
Click on Apply at the bottom
