• Cameras already added to LumiCenter.

Step by Step Instructions

1. Start by navigating to the settings section in LumiCenter, then proceed to the Analytics page. On the Analytics page, select the desired camera and expand it using the "+" button. Once expanded, a "create" option will appear—click this to begin setting up the object tracker.

2. After selecting "create," choose the "Trackers" option, then select "Object Tracker" to begin configuring the rule.

3. With the object tracker set up, which enables advanced tracking of various object types, a sub-detector can be added to monitor objects crossing a line. To begin, expand the object tracker by clicking the "+" button.

4. After expanding the object tracker, a "create" button will appear. Click "create" and select the "Line Crossing" option.

5. The line crossing is now linked to the object tracking analytics. Adjust the line’s position and length to cover a specific area where people may cross. By clicking on the boxes on the arrows, the line can be set to capture movement in only one direction if desired. As objects cross the line, previews will appear below, indicating that it is actively capturing events.

6. With the rule configured, return to the live view by clicking the icon in the top left corner.

7. In the live view window, right-click on the camera’s live view to reveal the search option on the right. Click "search" to enter the event search section.

8. On the search page, start by clicking the blue bar with the "+" symbol to display the available options.

9. From the list of options, select the "Line Crossing" option, which pertains to metadata.

10. After selecting "Line Crossing," a new blue bar will appear below with a "+" symbol. Click on it, then choose "Metadata Source."

11. After selecting "Metadata Source," an option referring to metadata sources will appear. Depending on the configurations, multiple options may be available; ensure "Object Tracker" is chosen from the dropdown menu. Next, specify the time range for the search. This can be done using the time range settings above the line crossing option or by adjusting the timeline on the far right. Once the search time parameters are set, click "search" at the bottom.

12. After performing the search, the results will appear on the right side. Select the event to playback, and in the top left, use the playback controls to watch the footage. To enlarge the playback window, click the "+" button located to the right of the playback area.
