NVR/How To Set Up Heat Maps
How To Set Up And Use Heat Maps
Description
Heat Maps show a graphical representation of "hot-spots" or popular areas in your camera feed, and display them as a thermal overlay. This illustrates which areas in your camera view have the most traffic.
Prerequisites
- Luminys IPC with Heat Map Capability
- Luminys NVR with Heat Map Capability
Steps
1. Log in to your recorder and select the Camera menu at the top. Select AI Event on the left, and then Intelligent Mode. Select which channel your Heat Map capable camera is assigned to, and enable the Heat Map feature. Click Apply when finished.
2. Now that the Heat Map feature has been turned on, we must enable it. To do so, click Heat Map from the AI Event menu on the left, and then the channel you are configuring from the dropdown at the top. Enable the function here by toggling it on. You can also click Arming Period if you wish to only track during specific days/hours. Click Apply when finished.
3. Once your camera has collected enough data (which depends entirely on the amount of traffic), you can search the data. To do so, click the Search menu at the top, followed by Smart Search on the left. Select Heat Map, and apply your filters. You can select the channel you wish to search, as well as a specific date and time period. When done, click Search and your Heat Map will be displayed.
