Step by Step Instructions

1. Today we will be learning more about the Live View and Playback functions within the LumiCenter WebClient. When you first load up the WebClient, the default page that loads up will be the live view with the default layout.

2. One of the main functions while using live view will be the ability to switch layouts. You can use the drop down highlighted in the picture to see the different layouts that you have created already and switch between the layouts.

3. From the WebClient you can also choose to live view a single camera by clicking on the “hardware” button on the left of the page which will expand your device list. From that list, just click on one of the cameras which will bring it up in its own live view.

4. You can also create new layouts within the LumiCenter Web Client. To do so, click on the layout editing mode button which I have highlighted in the picture, and then choose the layout type that you want to create. For this we will select the 3 x 3 mode. The WebClient will automatically fill in the first 9 cameras that are online into the 9 camera view window. You can also swap out whatever cameras you want for other cameras if you wish. Once you have the correct cameras added, you can click save, to save the layout.

5. Now we will move onto playback. LumiCenter WebClient has 2 modes for playback, single camera playback or multi camera playback. We will start with the single camera mode. To do the playback, first select the camera you want to do playback from and then from the top, select the single playback option. You will then see your timeline on the right and the playback controls in the bottom right.

6. The other option in playback is to have the WebClient playback all of the cameras in the current layout. To do this you will click on the “multi camera archive” at the top which I have highlighted. This will pull all of the cameras into playback mode. Now you will notice when you select a time on the timeline bar, that all of the cameras have switched their time to the same time. Now when you click play in the bottom right, all of the cameras will play simultaneously from the same time.

7. Also if a camera is recording to multiple archives simultaneously, you can click the archive button on the video stream which I have highlighted in the picture to change the archive you are playing back from. This step concludes the live view and playback from within LumiCenter Web Client.
