NVR Audio Play at a Specific Time

Description

This article will cover how to play audio files out of the audio output on a Luminys NVR at specific times

Prerequisites

  • Luminys NVR
  • A Computer on the Same Network as the NVR
  • A Speaker Wired to the Audio Output on the NVR

Step by Step Instructions

1. Log into the web inteface of the NVR.
Click on System at the top.
Expand Audio on the left.
Click on Audio File

2. Click on the drop-down menu next to Device and select Local.
Click on Select Audio File.
Navigate to and select an audio file, that you want the NVR to play, on your computer's file system. Make sure it's an MP3 file that is between 2KB and 10MB.
Click on Apply at the bottom

3. You will see a progress bar as the file is uploaded.
Once it has been successfully uploaded to the the NVR, it will say "Operation Succeeded" at the top.
Repeat this process for up to 20 audio files

4. Click on Audio Play under Audio on the left

5. Click on the slider next to Enable for the first line.
Click on the first time under Time Period for the first line.
Select the exact time that you want the audio file to play each day and click on OK.
Click on the second time under Time Period from the first line.
Select one minute later afer the first time you selected above and click on OK.
Click on the drop-down under File Name for the first line and select the audio file that you want to play.
Enter the amount of times you want the audio file to loop in the Loop Play field for the first line. (0 means it will play once, 1 mean it will play twice, etc.)
Click on the drop-down under Output for the first line and select Audio Out.
Click on Apply at the bottom

6. Your settings will be saved and you will see "Operation Succeeded" at the top.
Repeat this process for any other files you want to play at other times
