Configuring Door Parameters via WebUI

Description

This guide covers how to modify door parameters such as unlock time, unlock settings, and schedules via a Luminys Access Controller WebUI.

Prerequisites

  • Luminys Access Controller (Such as C-2PA)
  • WebUI access

This guide assumes you have already initialized your device. For stand alone/WebUI configuration, you must use the Main controller.

Step by Step Instructions

1. Once logged in to the controllers WebUI, select Access Rules on the left, and then Door Parameters. Select which door you wish to modify, and adjust settings as needed. Be sure to click Apply at the bottom when finished.

Basic Settings

A. Name: Specifies a name for the door to easily identify it.
B. Unlock Type: Sets the door to Fail Secure (doors remain locked on power loss) or Fail Safe (doors unlock on power loss).
C. Door Status: Normal will default to locked until the configured unlock parameters are met, such as a valid card swipe. Always Unlocked will keep the door open at all times, which Always Locked will keep the door locked at all times.
D. Keep Door Unlocked for: Keeps the door open during the specified schedules.
E. Keep Door Locked for: Keeps the door closed during the specified schedules.
F. Holiday Schedule Authentication: Allows access via authentication during the defined Holiday Schedule.
G. Public Unlock Password: Sets a generic password for the door. This is a standalone password to unlock the door without a user/user ID.

Unlock Settings

H. Unlock Mode: Sets the mode used to unlock the door. Combination Unlock will set a full time unlock method, while Unlock By Period will allow you more control over which time frames require certain logic versus another.
I. Combination Method: Or will allow you to unlock with any one of the selected unlock methods. And will require users to authenticate with all selected methods.
J. Unlock Method: Specifies which type of authentication is required to unlock the door.
K. Bluetooth Mode: Sets the maximum range used for Bluetooth authentication.
L. Door Unlock Duration: The amount of time the door will remain opened after being unlocked.
M. Unlock Timeout: The amount of time before the system will trigger the Unlock Timeout alarm.

Alarm Settings

N. Duress Alarm: Sets off the AC panel alarm if a Duress card has been swiped.
O. Door Sensor: Enables additional settings that are contingent on having a door sensor wired to the panel. You must specify if the status of the sensor is Normally open or Normally Closed for this function.
P. Intrusion Alarm: Sets off the panel alarm when the door is forced open without authentication. You can also chose to have the reader for this door beep with the panel.
Q. Unlock Timeout Alarm: Sets off the panel alarm if the door is held open beyond the Close Timeout period. You can also chose to have the reader for this door beep with the panel.
