Set Up VCA for PTZs via LumiCloud Website
Description
This tutorial will go over how to setup VCA in LumiCloud for PTZ cameras.
Prerequisites
- LumiCloud account logged in to https://webapp.lumicloud.com
- Device with licensed video channels
Instructions
1. Start by ensuring you are on the correct device type. To do so, click the top tab on the left and select Video.
2. Click “Devices” to display the NVR and or Cameras, and Select Channel on the NVR, then Settings for the desired camera.
3. Click Smart Plan, then click Add Preset. Choose a number for the preset (for the purpose of this guide we used 1). You will see preset1 as an option, now click Add and select the newly created preset and confirm.
5. Now select the new preset and click on VCA to enable it, then click Apply.
6. Next on the left click VCA and click New. Choose the detection type you wish to use (Intrusion/Line Crossing) and then Confirm.
7. In the Camera View left click to draw your rule area/lines. Under Rule settings, toggle Enable. Select the preset we created under Smart Plan, choose a sensitivity level, and select the appropriate Action (Appear and/or Cross), followed by the desired Condition (Walk-In, Walk-Out, or Both).
8. You can also choose to either have an all day schedule or custom to create a schedule for day and times of your choosing then, click Save.
