Setting Up Inter-Door Lock via LumiViewer

Description

This tutorial will cover how to set up Inter-Door Lock for Luminys access controllers via LumiViewer. Inter-Door Lock tells the controller that a specific door (or set of doors) must be locked in order for another door to unlock.

Prerequisites

  • Luminys Access Controller
  • LumiViewer (with at least basic AC setup completed)

Step by Step Instructions

1. Start by selecting the Access Control menu from the Home page.

2. Select Advanced Config on the left, and then the Inter-door Lock tab at the top. Once here, select the Add button to create a new rule.

3. In the window that opens, Start by selecting which device the rule will apply to, and then give the rule a name. Click the Add button to create a group (the pool of doors that compare the status with each other), and then select which doors will be within the group. You can create up to two groups per rule, but each group must have at least 2 doors. Click OK when you are done.

4. Now we can see our rule with options to edit, delete or enable/disable.

5. As we will see in Access Monitoring logs, we scan in Door 1, and immediately try scanning Door 2. Since Door 1 has not locked yet, we are denied access due to the Inter-Lock rule kicking in. Once Door 1 is locked, we can now unlock Door 2 successfully.
