Setting Up Display Auto-Switching

Description

This tutorial will go over how to setup Auto-Switching (Tours) for your Home Screen or Auxiliary Display. Auto-Switching is used to rotate the active View between defined Layouts. This can be done via the local monitor or WebUI, but will be done via the WebUI for the purpose of this guide.

Step by Step Instructions

1. From the local monitor or via the WebUI, start by going to System > Display > Auto Switch, and enable the function for the desired display (Screen Number). By default, all channels will rotate "4-at-a-time" in a 2x2 Layout every 5 seconds. To adjust the timing, modify the Switch Every parameter, which can be set between 5 and 120 seconds.

2. If you wish to change the Layouts or Views, be sure to uncheck any of the default 2x2 Views you do not intend to use. Set the Layout dropdown to the desired Layout and check the Views you wish to use for Auto-Switching. You can select views from multiple Layouts. You can also modify the View with the edit button to change which channels are displayed within the View and in which order they appear. The order in which you select the channels dictates the Combination Sequence (order) they appear in the Layout.

For example: A 2x2 Layout with a View using a channel order of 4, 8, 9, 1 would place channel 4 in the top left corner, 8 in the top right, 9 in the bottom left, and 1 in the bottom right.

Once you have all of your Views setup for your desired Layouts, click Apply. Be sure to repeat this process for any Auxiliary Displays you may have in use, if needed.

3. Now, on your Home Screen or Auxiliary Display Live View, you will need to enable the Auto-Switching function on the live view with the Auto Switch button in the bottom right corner of the display, and the monitor will begin rotating through your views on the defined interval.
