Facial Recognition Terminal/Intercom Phone
C-F4A Intercom Setup
Description
This tutorial will go over how to set up the C-F4A Facial Recognition Terminal to call a phone using the intercom function.
Prerequisites
- C-F4A Controller Already Activated with a password.
- Internet Connection
- Mobile Phone/Tablet to receive a phone call on.
- You must add the C-F4A to a LumiViewer account, it will not work without an account.
Step by Step Instructions
1. This guide assumes you have already gone through the basic setup of the Face Terminal either via local UI or WebUI. Mainly the device just needs to be activated with a password, it is not required to have set up the access control side. To get started we will log into the WebUI. Once in the WebUI, we will expand the Intercom Settings section and once that is expanded we will choose the SIP Server option. By default this option is disabled. All we need to do is turn on the local SIP Server and then click apply to save.
2. Next, in the same section we will choose the Call Config option. Once there, we will want to enable the call function toggle. After turning on the call function, you will then have a drop down option. Since we do not currently have an indoor station to call to, we will set this up to call a phone or tablet through LumiViewer. The option you want to choose from the drop down is “Call Phone” once you have that selected, you can choose apply to save the settings. This is the last setting we need to apply on the device side.
3. After enabling the phone call option inside the WebUI, you will now notice you have a phone button on the screen of the Facial Terminal. Since we have it set up to call a phone, after clicking the phone button there is nothing that is needed to be done, it will automatically place the call and you should get a notification on the phone.
4. After pressing the call button, you should get the following notification on your phone. Also if you have your volume on for notifications you should hear a ringing sound.
5. If you tap on the notification it should open up LumiViewer and take you to the incoming call. From the incoming call page you can reject the call, answer the call or you can just trigger the door unlock without even answering.
6. If you choose to answer the call, you will see similar options however there is a small difference. Now you will have the option to toggle your microphone on or off, then you can end the call and lastly you can unlock the door.
