First Looks at LumiCenter Web Client Interface

In this guide we will explore the LumiCenter Web Client Interface.

Prerequisites

  • LumiCenter server installed on a computer.
  • Access to the server as explained here.

Step by Step Instructions

1. At the top of the LumiCenter web interface is the “App Bar” this is where you will do the most frequently used operations.

2. The first option in the app bar is the “domain”, if you click on the domain you will see all the devices under the domain object, you can also do it by clicking the hardware button. Clicking it again the menu will be hidden.

3. Next you have the search bar which can be used to search for a camera or a layout.

4. Next you have the most frequently used features for the web client which is live view and playback. By default the web client will show you the live view, if you want to do playback, click on the “multi camera archive” which I labelled in the picture as playback.

5. Next we have the button to create, copy or delete a layout.

6. Next you will see all the layouts that you have once created on the desktop application. You can expand to see all of the layouts by clicking the drop down to the right. Click the button again to hide the layouts.

7. Next you have the button to enter the macro menu, this will allow you to access and trigger the macros manually.

Important note - You cannot create a macro on the webclient, you can only manually trigger a macro from the webclient.

8. Next you have the full screen button. This will switch the web client into full screen mode. Click it again to exit full screen mode.

9. Next you have the lock button, this will pin or unpin the app bar along the top.


10. Last but not least you have the additional menu. From here you can change the user you are logged into LumiCenter client with. You also have the preferences to change some default settings of the LumiCenter WebClient.

11. If you click on the statistics panel option, you will be brought to the statistics panel page. From this page, you will be able to see the status of all of the devices under the domain object. If there is an error, you will see the error under the warning column. If you hover over the error, LumiCenter client will give you more information on the error.

12. If you click on the archives option along the top of the statistics panel, it will show you the recording status of all the storage archives under the domain object. Click back in the top left to go back to the main interface of the LumiCenter Web Client.

13. Last but not least, if you click on the archive bookmarks option, it will bring you to a list of all the comments that have been created in LumiCenter. If you click the video button to the right of the comment, it will jump to the timepoint in the storage archive to view the video clip. You can also use the search bar along the top to search for a comment. Clcik back to go back to the main interface of the LumiCenter Client.

14. Next when you are back on the default page, you can click on the events button on the right. When you click on this it will expand to show you the list of recent events. If you click on the event it will bring up the playback of that event. You can use the playback controls in the bottom right to play, pause etc. This concludes are first look at the LumiCenter WebClient.
