How to Export a Picture or a Video from Web Client

In this guide we will cover how to export a picture or video from the LumiCenter web client.

Step by Step Instructions
1. Today we will be learning how to export a picture or video clip from the LumiCenter WebClient. To start you will want to be in the LumiCenter webclient, then you will want to select the video stream that you want to export from. Then you will click on the local export button in the top right of the video window as highlighted in my picture.
2. Next you will be directed to the interface for exporting. You will want to specify the format of the file you will be exporting. In this case we will choose jpg which will then export an image of the frame time that we have chosen. Click the local export button to process the export.
3. After you click the local export button, up at the top you will see the progress of the export. Once it is done, LumiCenter WebClient will provide a link, click the link to save the file to your local PC.
4. Exporting a video clip is nearly the same as exporting an image, click local export like we did previously, but this time when we are choosing the file type we will choose “mkv” which indicates we will be exporting a video clip. Then on the right hand side on the timeline set the time range that you would like to export, once you have done that click local export to start exporting the file.
5. Just like before along the top you will see the progress of the export and once that is complete LumiCenter will generate a link so you can download the file to your local workstation.
6. Lastly you can also export a video as an exe file that way you can use it on a PC that doesn’t have the player installed as the exe will include the player and the video combined into a single file to make it easy for anyone to view the video. Once exported it will also generate a link to download the file to the local workstation. This concludes how to export files through the web client.
