Video Guide

Steps

1. In this document we will learn how to use the playback function to watch previously recorded footage. The first thing that is important is how to know if a camera is being recorded to the storage archive. The easiest way to know if the camera is being recorded is you will see a red (R) in the top right corner.

2. Next we will learn how to start the playback for a specific camera. To do this, the first thing you want to do is click on the camera cell that you want to do a playback on. After clicking on the cell, you will have the playback option to the bottom right.

3. After selecting the playback option, the function will switch from live view over to playback mode. You can start playback by clicking the play button below the video, as well on the timeline bar on the right, you can drag the time arrow along the timeline to playback from a specific time.

4. If the camera is being recorded to multiple storage archives simultaneously, you can click the 3 lines in the bottom right of the cell to choose between the different archives. Once you choose the other archive, it will pull the recordings from there, and then you can continue to playback as normal.

5. You can also use the playback controls in the bottom right. Clicking the pause button will pause the playback, clicking it again will start the playback again. You can then also use the (+) and (-) buttons to change the speed of the playback.

6. To go back to live view, click the live button in the bottom right where you originally clicked on playback. This will return that camera to live viewing.

7. If you want to perform playback on all of the channels in the current layout, you can select the playback button along the top. LumiCenter will then load the recordings for all of the cameras in the current layout. In this case when you use the playback controls in the bottom right, the playback will be simultaneous across the channels. This helps to view footage from multiple angles.

8. In playback mode, you also have the option to add a comment. To add a comment the first thing you need to do is freeze the frame, you can do this by clicking the time stamp in the top right of the cell. After freezing the playback you can then click the comment button and add a comment.

9. You can also add a privacy mask as part of the comment.

10. When adding a privacy mask during playback, you can also extend the privacy mask to the next frame. To do this, you will go down to your playback controls in the bottom right and click the next frame button until you have added the privacy mask to the amount of frames you wish. After you have moved forward in the playback as far as you wish, you can opt to resize the privacy box, or leave it as it is, then you will click “Add Point” to complete adding the privacy mask to the new frame. Then click save to finish saving the comment.
