Device Initialization via LumiUtility
Description
This tutorial will go over how to initialize devices via LumiUtility desktop app.
Prerequisites
- LumiUtility application installed on the computer.

Step by Step Instructions
1. Select the desired device for initialization. If the device does not appear in the list, click the “Scan” button to refresh the search.
2. After selecting the device using the checkbox, click “Activate” and then the blue “Activate” button in the pop-up menu.
3. Enter the password twice for the admin user, along with an email address. The email address is used for password recovery, so providing a valid one is recommended. Click “Next” to continue.
4. Once initialization is complete, a green check mark will appear on the left. Click “Complete” to finalize the process. If the device does not show as “Activated” with a green status, refresh the device list, and it should update accordingly.
