How to Add Devices to an Account in LumiViewer Mobile

Description

This tutorial will go over how to add devices to your account in the LumiViewer mobile app.

Prerequisites

  • LumiViewer Mobile App
  • LumiViewer Account registered and logged in
  • Luminys device IP address or serial number (P2P)

Step by Step Instructions

1. Open the LumiViewer app on your phone and you will want to start on the home screen. To get started adding a device you can either use the “Add Device” located in the middle of the page if you don’t have anything added already, or you can use the (+) in the top right.

2. After clicking the add device, you will be prompted to choose how you want to add the device. In this case we will use SN/Scan as that will allow us to add the device using Peer-To-Peer.

3. After choosing the SN/Scan option you may be prompted to provide permission to use your camera, this is used to be able to scan the QR code using the camera on your phone. Once you have given permission you will be brought to a window where you can then scan the QR code. Scan the QR code on the right, found in the recorders Settings > Network > Basic > DDNS&P2P tab.

Alternatively, you can tap Manual in the top right, and type the serial number in manually.

4. After scanning the QR code, you will be brought to the add device window with the serial number filled in. Go ahead and click next.

5. On the next page you will be prompted to select the type of device you are adding. In this case we will choose NVR as that is what we are adding in this example.

6. On the next page, you will need to fill out the device name which is whatever you want to name it so it is easy to know which device it is, as well you will need to input your username and password for the device. Once you have done that click next.

7. After clicking next, you will be brought to a page to confirm your time zone and whether you want to enable DST. If you are in a region where DST is used, you will want to enable the DST setting to make sure the NVR has the correct time. Now you can click done.

8. You will then be brought into the live view screen for the device you just added. This concludes how to add the device into LumiViewer.
