How to Set Event Notifications in LumiViewer
Description
This tutorial will go over how to set event notifications in LumiViewer. This process is the same for both Android and iOS/iPadOS, as well as for Local and Account bound devices, as of v1.00.003.
Prerequisites
- LumiViewer v1.00.003 or later
- Devices already added to LumiViewer
Step by Step Instructions
1. Go to the "Home" page and select the gear icon next to the device.
2. Select the camera you want to receive notifications for.
3. Select “Notification” to configure event notifications for the camera.
4. If you do not want to receive notifications for this camera 24/7, you can tap the schedule option at the top and set a custom schedule for this specific camera. In the schedule option, tap the time bar for the day to modify it as needed, and hit Save.
5. Once that is completed, or if you do not need to modify the schedule, select the type of notifications you wish to receive for this camera, and hit Save. You will receive a pop up confirming it has saved successfully. From there, you can go back to the camera list, and repeat these steps for any other cameras you wish to receive notifications for.
6. If you are signed into LumiViewer, one advantage you receive is a global Notification setting. In this case, from the home screen, you want to select Me at the bottom of the app. Select Notifications and ensure the global setting for Notifications for the account are enabled. You can also customize the schedule for all notifications here, if all of your camera channels share the same desired schedule, which negates having to set each camera independently.
Note: As mentioned, this is strictly available for LumiViewer accounts. If you do not have the option for Notifications in the Me tab, you must sign in. Also note that if your global schedule does not cover a custom schedule for the camera, the global schedule takes priority.
