LumiSearch Parameters, Filters, and Sorting Options

A. Channel – By default the LumiSearch will search all channels, however if you would like to filter to a specific channel you can click where it says all and change to a specific channel or specific set of channels.

B. Time Period – this setting is the time period that LumiSearch will do a search. The default is Last Hour but you also can do Today, Yesterday, Last 2 Days, Last 3 days, Last 7 days or you can do a custom search.

C. Start Time and End Time are used for the custom option. Click on the Calendar and Clock within those sections to change the start and end times.

D. CH – This option allows you to filter within the already searched results by channel. You can select a single channel or multiple channels.

E. Target Filter – This allows you to change to searching only for human or vehicle.

F. Similarity – This allows you to adjust how similar an image we are looking for. If you lower the similarity % you will get more results but they will be less accurate, or you can raise the similarity % which will provide less results but will be more accurate. The default setting is 80%.

G. Sort by time – Selecting the top option will sort by oldest to newest and the bottom will be newest to oldest.

H. Sort By Similarity – Selecting the top option will sort by lowest to highest and the bottom will sort by highest to lowest.

Viewing and Backing Up Results

1. To view a LumiSearch result, simply double click on it to open a playback window for the event. Below the video you have options to pause, stop, hide/show AI rule, and another LumiSearch button.

2. Additionally, you may want to save (backup) an event. To do this, simply select the event(s) you wish to save by checking the events selection box in the bottom right corner of the result, and select the Backup button at the top.

3. When the file backup window appears you will have a few options to choose from. Since we are in the WebGUI, the storage path will be for the device we accessing the WebGUI from. The file path will be the directory where you want to save the file. File format has 2 options:

  • LAV is the RAW unedited footage which includes the AI rule as well as any metadata. If you choose this option it will also download LumiPlayer to play the footage.
  • MP4 is a more common format that can be played in most media players.

The video checkbox is to indicate you want to download the video, the pictures checkbox is to indicate if you want to download the image snapshot and lastly video merge is designed to merge all video clips into a single clip if you are downloading multiple. To complete saving the clip, click the backup button in the bottom left. When finished, click the X in the top right of the File Backup window.
