Configuring Door Parameters via LumiViewer

Description

This guide covers how to modify door parameters such as unlock time, unlock settings, and schedules for Luminys Access Control systems using LumiViewer.

Prerequisites

  • LumiViewer
  • Luminys Access Controller (Such as C-2PA)

This guide assumes you have already initialized your device and added it to LumiViewer. If you initialized via WebUI, you must set the unit as a Sub Controller to use with LumiViewer.

Step by Step Instructions

1. Start by opening LumiViewer and selecting Access Control from the Home tab.

2. Select Access Config on the left and then select the door you wish to configure from the list. Once you are finished, click Save at the bottom. The following options are available to modify:

A. Door Name.
B. Status: Normal will default to locked until the configured unlock parameters are met, such as a valid card swipe. Always Open will keep the door open at all times, which Always Closed will keep the door locked at all times.
C. Keep Open Timezone: Keeps the door open during the specified Time Template.
D. Keep Close Timezone: Keeps the door closed during the specified Time Template.
E. Alarm: Intrusion sets off the panel alarm when the door is forced open. Overtime sets off the panel alarm if the door is held open beyond the Close Timeout period. Duress sets off the alarm if a Duress card has been swiped.
F. Door Sensor: Tells the system the door has a sensor. This is required when using Intrusion and Overtime alarms.
G. Administrator Password: Sets an administrator password for the door. This is a standalone password to unlock the door without a user/user ID.
H. Remote Verification: Enabling this feature will cause a pop-up in LumiViewer that is required to be approved before the door will unlock. This option can also be linked to a camera for video review before approving.
I: Bind Channel: Binds a video channel to the door to be used for Remote Verification. Note that the camera must be added directly to LumiViewer and cannot be linked through a recorder device.
J: Hold Times: The amount of time the door will remain opened after being unlocked.
K: Close Timeout: The amount of time before the system will trigger the Overtime alarm.
L: Unlock Method: Sets the logic used to unlock the door. And will require all selected options to be met before unlocking, while Or only requires one of the selected options. You can also Unlock By Schedule, which will allow you more control over which time frames require certain logic versus another.
