Description
This tutorial will go over how to backup video footage via playback for local devices in the LumiViewer mobile app.
Prerequisites
- LumiViewer Mobile App
- NVR added as a local device
Step by Step Instructions
1. On the Home tab, select the device you wish to create a recording with. Note that it must be a Local device for this process. For Account devices, see here.
2. While the desired camera is open or selected, slide the playback timeline to the beginning of the desired recording backup.
3. Tap the Record Video button, and you will see a message confirm recording has started, as well as a running time at the top to indicate the length of the clip. On Android devices, you must tap the Menu button (3 dots) to access the Record button.
4. Let the clip play for as long as desired, and tap the Record Video button again to end the recording. You can also tap the small X to the right of the running time at the top to end the clip.
5. When you stop the recording, you will receive a confirmation that the recording has been saved, and you will also see a thumbnail in the bottom left of the screen. Tapping this thumbnail will take you directly to your Media Album.
6. If you did not tap the thumbnail when it popped up, simply hit the back button in the top left, and go to the Me tab at the bottom. From there, select Media Album.
7. In the Media Album you will see your saved clips. Tap on the thumbnail to play the recording. If you wish to delete, save the clip to your phone, or share the recording via another app on your device, tap the three dots in the top right corner.
8. Select the clip(s) you want to use and select the appropriate action at the bottom.
- The left button will prompt you to share the clip through another application, such as via message, email, etc.
- The middle button will save the clip to your local device (native Photos or Gallery app).
- The right button will delete the selected clip.
