Creating Time Templates in LumiViewer

Description

This guide covers how to create or modify Time Templates for Luminys Access Control systems using LumiViewer.

Prerequisites

  • LumiViewer
  • Luminys Access Controller (Such as C-2PA)

This guide assumes you have already initialized your device and added it to LumiViewer. If you initialized via WebUI, you must set the unit as a Sub Controller to use with LumiViewer.

Step by Step Instructions

1. Time Templates are used to create a period that can be applied to multiple settings. For example, a Time Template can be used to specify what time a door is kept open or closed, or it can be used to specify the time frame a user is able to unlock a door. To set up a Time Template, start by selecting Access Control from the Home tab.

2. Select Time Template on the left. You will see some templates are already created for you. To create a custom template click Add at the top.

3. Provide a name for the Time Template. You can click and drag in the time to add or erase from it. Note that green is "active" time, as in this is when the time template is in effect for the defined setting. For more accurate control of the time, click the cog icon to the right of the day you wish to modify.

4. Specify the start and end time, and check any days you want this time frame to apply to. Note that you can add or remove periods within this schedule, so you can have 08:00:00 – 12:00:00 in one period, and 13:00:00-20:00:00 for another period in the same day. This is ideal for situations such as businesses that close for a lunch break. Click OK when you are finished.

5. Once the times for each day have been configured to your liking, click Save.

6. You can now use the time template for things such as Keep Open schedules in your door parameters, which will keep the door unlocked during the Time Templates hours.
